Stephen Montemayor, Star Tribune reports Senior U.S. district Judge Paul Magnuson sentenced a former Minneapolis police officer Thomas Lane to 2 1/2 years imprisonment in a federal civil rights case related to the 2020 murder of George Floyd.

Via WCCO: Sen. Tina Smith claims she tested positive for COVID-19, and is suffering mild symptoms.

Ben Pagani from KARE-11 reports the state’s unemployment rates dropped to 1.8% in December, while Minnesota added only 100 jobs. This is the lowest ever recorded rate.
