Chloe Johnson of the Star Tribune spoke to Kenny Blumenfeld. Blumenfeld is a senior climateologist with Department of Natural Resources’ State Climate Office. He discussed Minnesota’s changing weather. Nearly all of Minnesota’s recent warming trends have been observed in the colder months of the year. Blumenfeld stated that Winters are heating up several times faster than the summer. The most notable change in summertime is the humidity changes during heat waves.

Babs Santes from FOX 9 has a piece about residents near Grand Avenue, St. Paul worried about the rising number of incidents surrounding Billy’s Grand. According to police records, 38 calls were made to St. Paul police at Billy’s during 2019. Then 69 was recorded in 2020, and 72 in the last year. In the first six months of this year, 96 calls were received regarding disturbances, shootings, or proactive police visits.

Brianna Kelly, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal features Target Corp.’s renovation of the entrance to its flagship store downtown Minneapolis in order to combat “disruptive activities.”
