A KSTP/SurveyUSA poll Tuesday night found Scott Jensen was trailing Gov. Tim Walz leads Gov.

The reaction to the result caused some controversy on Twitter. Matt Birk Jensen’s running mate tweeted a personal attack on GOP political commentator Michael Brodkorb.

Brodkorb has repeatedly criticized Jensen’s candidacy throughout the campaign, as well as his chances of beating Walz in November. After Tuesday’s release of the poll, Brodkorb reaffirmed his criticisms against the ticket.

“Michael-I had never heard of you before so I searched you up. Google claims your expertise is in adulterous affairs, driving drunk- not politics. Birk said, “Might want to leave this one out bud.” Brodkorb quit his job as a staff member at the Minnesota Senate in 2011, after he had an affair with his boss. He has been a campaigner against drunk driving since 2013, after a car accident involving alcohol.
