Gov. Walz calls on Scott Jensen to apologize for comparing COVID mask mandates to the rise of Hitler

Briana Bierschbach, Star Tribune reporter, covered Friday’s press conference at Gov. Tim Walz and other legislators called for Scott Jensen, the GOP candidate for governor, to apologize for his comparison of COVID-19 mandates to events leading to Kristallnacht or the Holocaust. Jensen’s campaign replied with ” Tim Walz should apologise for eroding public safety, crushing our children’s educational outcomes and suffocating families with inflation.”

Em Steck and Andrew Kaczynski at CNN have a piece about Republican Secretary of State candidate Kim Crockett. They compare the 2020 election with the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks. Crockett stated that “We recognize people are discouraged” during an unreported radio interview in September 2021. “We are still America’s people, and I’m betting that we will prevail. This is a difficult task. Perhaps we needed a wake up call. This is our “9/11”.
