MinnPost is now focusing on the fall election, with this year’s legislative session behind us.

You’ve probably seen our polling results and know that there will be close races. Democratic Governor Tim Walz will be facing Scott Jensen, a Republican. Two Republican candidates are competing to replace Keith Ellison, DFL Attorney General. Control of the Legislature, and other statewide offices, is also up for grabs.

SUPPORT MINNPOST

We aim to make it easier for readers to understand the candidates and highlight the important issues. This is what we have done through our reporting on the economy, inflation and gun policy, as well as our polling about abortion access and gun policy.

We also plan to travel across the state to provide smart, tough and in-depth coverage for all users of our site, which is free from paywalls.

This kind of work is possible only with the support of readers. Please consider becoming a monthly sustaining contributor at $15/month in order to support our newsroom, advance public information, and assist people making informed decisions about the future Minnesota and the nation.
