Three weeks ago, FBI agent Michael Paul stated to 5 EYEWITNESS News in a one-on-1 interview that Russia is using the Ukraine war as a catalyst to conduct more attacks against the United States. He made this statement along with others on Aug. 3, when he was Special Agent-in Charge of the Minneapolis Field Office. Since then, he has been promoted to Assistant Director at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Paul stated that Russia would sweep the U.S. seeking cyber financial targets, which could include individuals, corporations, or small business owners. They may also be able to entrap Minnesota companies or individuals in this wide net in hopes of creating chaos and using up resources.
